This line was perfect in describing the establishment of Mushroom Tribe.
The passion of Mushroom Tribe was clearly evident as we entered the place. The brightly colored logos reminded us of Toys R Us.
This was not just a recreational facility. It was the perfect model of how Taiwanese agriculture could transform. Under the careful planning of General Manager Shi-wen Fang, a novel leisure farm that incorporated organic farming, recreational, educational, food services and health functions was created! This seemingly insignificant farm would become a new highlight for recreation and leisure!
Although Qyo Biotech Farm was not very big, the complex was capable of exporting five tons of mushrooms everyday. It was a professional modern mushroom farm. In order to give people the chance to experience mushroom growth, the company decided to establish Mushroom Tribe Ecological and Recreational Farm in 2009 that incorporated both their dreams and achievements. It was hoped that this agricultural miracle would be known by more people of every age! We could see the modern processes of fungal production at this place. Advanced technology of the highest qualities and standards were used to construct modern factories capable of adjusting temperature, humidity and illumination for the mushrooms to give them an environment similar to that deep in the mountains. Reverse osmosis (RO) treated water, which was even better than mountain springs, was used to irrigate the mushrooms so that they could grow up healthy! Because of these growing conditions, you wouldn't need to wash the mushrooms bought here! You can also enjoy the experience of picking your own mushrooms!
What's more?
Do you want to know how mushrooms grow? Try it yourself! This is a DIY course that allows both children and their parents to learn together. People could bring the fungus culture cans home and follow the instruction manual. The mycelium would saturate the entire can after patiently waiting for 7-10 days. Mushrooms would emerge after putting the can in a refrigerator for 1 or 2 days. To watch the mushrooms grow, all you need to do was to add water! (Don't put them under direct sunlight!)
